At 5:30 PM on the evening before the tour, we meet at your hotel in Sen Monorom for a trip briefing to go over final details. (This schedule may change due to extreme weather or unforeseen circumstances.)

Morning: Elephant Sanctuary Experience

  • 8:30 AM – Pick-up from your hotel and drive 20 minutes to the Elephant Sanctuary Forest.
  • Take a scenic hike into the jungle with our expert guide, who will introduce you to Mondulkiri’s wildlife conservation efforts.
  • Meet the rescued elephants, observe their natural behaviors, and follow them as they roam freely.
  • Enjoy a close-up experience watching them bathe, play in the mud, and forage for food.
  • Lunch break at the Sanctuary’s visitor hut.

Afternoon: Bunong Minority Village & Cultural Experience

  • Visit Putang Village, home to the Bunong indigenous people.
  • Experience their traditional way of life, explore their wooden stilt houses, and learn about their unique customs.
  • Enjoy a homemade dinner with a local family and experience authentic Bunong hospitality.
  • Overnight stay in a family home.
  • 7:00 AM – Enjoy breakfast before a 40-minute drive to Keo Seima Wildlife Sanctuary.
  • Meet your Bunong local ranger and embark on a 10km rainforest trek.
  • Listen for gibbons' morning calls and try to spot them swinging through the treetops. If lucky, you may see them as close as 15 meters away!
  • Observe other wildlife, including birds, rare insects, and jungle flora.
  • Break for lunch by a scenic jungle spot, with chances to spot more wildlife.

Afternoon: Jungle Exploration & Return to Sen Monorom

  • Continue trekking through the dense rainforest, discovering bat colonies, bear claw marks, and other jungle secrets.
  • Your guide will introduce you to traditional survival skills, such as making Bunong bamboo soup.
  • 4:00 PM – Return to Sen Monorom by private vehicle.
